A new gastronomic story and urban experience are making their debut in the heart of Cluj-Napoca. HAiViNO, an innovative wine bistro concept, officially opens its doors, aiming to redefine the culture of relaxation and socializing around a glass of good wine, while eliminating the stiffness of formal etiquette.
HAiViNO was born from an inspirational encounter between the gastronomic excellence of Italy's capital, the signature hospitality of the Republic of Moldova, and the cultural effervescence of Cluj.
Behind the concept lies a rare international expertise. Oleg and his partner, Aurica, are the creators of the renowned CiPASSO restaurant in Rome—a constant presence in the prestigious Michelin Guide and an absolute landmark on the Italian culinary scene, ranked for 8 years in the top 10 out of over 12,000 restaurants in Italy.
"At Cipasso, in Rome, I learned that a Michelin Guide venue stays at the top not just through technique, but through the way it makes people feel. Through HAiViNO, we are bringing exactly this standard to Cluj: signature dishes from our kitchen in Italy and a vast wine list to satisfy every taste. We brought all our rigor into the glass and onto the plate, but we left the stiffness at the door. We want this Wine Bistro to be a space for everyone, where you come relaxed, exactly as you are, and enjoy an unforgettable evening," says Oleg Grossu, co-founder of HAiViNO.
The bridge to Cluj was built by Tudor Duca, who was captivated by the philosophy behind the success in Rome and wished to bring this standard of hospitality to Cluj.
"Seeing Cipasso in Rome, I understood that an exceptional restaurant is not about opulence, but about emotion, rigor on the plate, and an authentic connection with people. I thought Cluj deserved such a space—a place with an international vibe, yet incredibly warm and hospitable. HAiViNO is the result of this shared vision: a bistro where the wine selection is treated with technical objectivity, but the atmosphere remains completely relaxed. At HAiViNO, I want to blend the signature hospitality of the Republic of Moldova, where all three of us founders are from, with the socializing spirit of the Italians and the cultural effervescence of Cluj," says Tudor Duca, co-founder of HAiViNO.

HAiViNO: The WINE is the pretext, YOU are the context
"The journey here has been full of challenges, but every step was worth it to bring this place to life. Cluj won us over with its architecture, its people, its culture, and its gastronomy, and through HAiViNO we want to contribute to the charm and energy of this city, offering a place where people love to meet. I wish for every visit here to mean the joy of being together!" adds Aurica Danalachi, co-founder.
Located on the chic Inocențiu Micu Klein Street, at number 23, HAiViNO promises a vibrant atmosphere, encapsulated by the tagline it promotes on social media: Vin. Vorbe. Vibe.—an intimate space where "time is sipped, not measured."
HAiViNO is a contemporary, accessible Wine Bistro where wine is experienced naturally, in a lively, well-curated, and unpretentious atmosphere. With a fixed seating capacity and a wine selection that includes limited editions, the bistro has been operating at full capacity since its very first day of launch. For Cluj's urban community, the message is clear: you don't know until you... HAiViNO (a play on words, as "Hai vino" means "Come over" in Romanian), and those long evening tables will quickly become the most sought-after reservation in town. If you want to experience the vibe in person and not just through Instagram stories, planning your visit ahead is essential.
HAiViNO awaits its guests every evening from 5:00 PM, turning a simple night out into a memorable ritual. Come as you are! HAiViNO.
